Blame Dante is operated by JC SnowFox in Ireland. This notice explains what personal data may be processed when you use this website, contact us, use interactive features, buy products or prints, or connect supported third-party services.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data controller for data handled directly by Blame Dante is Blame Dante / JC SnowFox. You can contact us at hello@sirenstudios.tech.
2. What data may be processed?
Website and technical data
Our hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, request time, browser or device information, requested pages, error information and security logs.
Ask Dante
If you use the Ask Dante feature, the message you submit and a limited amount of recent conversation context are sent to the AI service used to generate a reply. We do not intentionally build a public profile from those messages. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, medical records or other information you do not want processed by an AI provider.
Purchases and print fulfilment
If you buy a physical print, payment information is handled by Stripe and fulfilment information such as your name, email and delivery address may be sent to Prodigi so the order can be produced and delivered. Blame Dante does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Purchases made through Payhip are also subject to Payhip's own privacy practices.
Contact and business enquiries
If you email us, we process the information you provide so we can respond to your enquiry and keep appropriate business records.
Pinterest integration
If a Pinterest account is connected to a Blame Dante publishing or automation tool, the app may access only the Pinterest data and permissions you authorise, such as account identifiers, Pins, Boards, publishing permissions and reporting data. This is used to create or schedule Pins, organise content and retrieve authorised performance information. Access is not used to sell personal data or build unrelated advertising profiles.
Analytics and affiliate measurement
Non-essential analytics or affiliate-measurement technology is not loaded until you choose to allow it through the site's privacy controls. If enabled, third-party services may receive technical information about your visit according to their own privacy terms.
3. Why we process data
Depending on the situation, we rely on one or more lawful bases under GDPR:
- Contract: to take payment, fulfil an order or provide a service you request.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the site, prevent abuse, answer ordinary business enquiries and maintain appropriate records where those interests do not override your rights.
- Consent: for non-essential analytics or similar technologies where consent is required. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where records must be retained or disclosed to comply with applicable law.
4. Service providers and recipients
Personal data may be processed by providers that are necessary for the relevant feature, including Netlify for website hosting and server functions, Anthropic or another configured AI provider for Ask Dante, Stripe for payments, Prodigi for print fulfilment, Payhip for store purchases, Pinterest for authorised Pinterest integrations, and GetYourGuide when you consent to its analytics or use its affiliate links.
External social-media, booking, affiliate and commerce links take you to third-party services. Once you leave Blame Dante, those services act under their own terms and privacy notices.
5. Cookies and local storage
The site uses necessary browser storage to remember your privacy choice. Non-essential analytics is blocked unless you select Allow analytics. You can reopen the privacy controls using the Privacy settings link in the footer and change your choice.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where GDPR applies, such transfers must use an applicable legal transfer mechanism or another lawful basis provided by the relevant service provider.
7. How long data is kept
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including order fulfilment, customer support, security, accounting and legal obligations. Retention periods used by third-party providers may differ and are governed by their own policies and contractual obligations.
8. Your GDPR rights
Where GDPR applies, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict processing, receive portable data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
To make a privacy or deletion request, email hello@sirenstudios.tech with the subject Data request. We may need enough information to verify that the request relates to you before acting on it.
If you connected Pinterest, you can also revoke the application's Pinterest access through your Pinterest account settings. You may then contact us to request deletion of any associated data held directly by Blame Dante.
You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. In Ireland, the supervisory authority is the Data Protection Commission.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sending sensitive information unless a feature specifically requires it.
10. Children
This site and its business tools are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children through these services.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the site's features, providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
